An example system includes at least one implantable medical device configured to measure impedance and sense at least one or more physiological signals of a patient; and processing circuitry configured to: determine an occurrence of a cough of the patient based on at least one of the physiological signals; determine a classification of the cough based on the measured impedance; and output an indication of the classification of the cough.

An example system includes an implantable medical device (IMD) that includes a housing configured for subcutaneous implantation proximate a lymphatic element of a patient; and a plurality of electrodes configured to sense an impedance signal indicative of one or more physiological parameters of the lymphatic element; and processing circuitry configured to: determine the one or more physiological parameters of the lymphatic element based on the impedance signal; determine a peripheral edema status of the patient based on the one or more physiological parameters; and output an indication of the peripheral edema status.

Systems and methods for delivering and implanting heart valves are disclosed. The delivery systems (100) can include an integrated introducer (110). The integrated introducer can include a sheath (112) having an inner diameter that is smaller than the outer diameter of a delivery capsule (104) of the delivery system and an outer diameter that is approximately equal to the outer diameter of the delivery capsule. The integrated introducer can include a hub (120) having a hemostatic seal. The hub can have a locking mechanism configured to fix the integrated introducer in place on the delivery system.

Disclosed herein are combined devices and methods of manufacturing such combined devices. The combined devices disclosed herein include an analyte sensor including a sensor probe; an infusion set hub including a cannula; and a flexible base. The analyte sensor and infusion set hub are attached to the flexible base such that movement of one of the analyte sensor and the infusion set hub is substantially not transferred to the other one of the analyte sensor and the infusion set hub.

A sensor device includes a housing configured to be secured to a patient and a seal structure located within the housing. A sensor probe having at least one substrate is supported by the housing. The substrate has a first length portion and a second length portion. The first length portion is external to the housing and is configured to be inserted into the patient when the housing is secured to the patient. The second length portion is in or on the housing and has a section that extends through the seal structure. That section has at least one side edge having an undulating edge pattern that enhances a seal effect of the seal structure at the section of the second length portion of the at least one substrate. The undulating edge pattern may be an edge wave pattern having a plurality of peaks or a plurality of valleys.

A medical device comprising: stimulation generation circuitry configured to deliver a set of stimulation pulses; sensing circuitry configured to sense a signal after each of the stimulation pulses of the set of stimulation pulses; and processing circuitry configured to: determine, for each sensed signal, whether the sensed signal comprises an ECAP signal; determine a ratio of respective ECAP signals detected from the set of delivered stimulation pulses to the total number of pulses in the set; compare the ratio to a threshold ratio; and control, based on the comparison, the stimulation generation circuitry to deliver subsequent stimulation pulses.

A device for percutaneous delivery of a stented prosthetic heart valve. The device includes a sheath, a handle, and an outer stability tube. The sheath includes a distal capsule and a proximal shaft. The handle has a housing maintaining an actuator mechanism that is coupled to the shaft. The actuator mechanism is configured to selectively move the shaft, and thus the capsule, relative to the housing. The stability tube is coupled to the housing and is coaxially received over the shaft such that the shaft is slidable relative to the stability tube. In a delivery state, the capsule encompasses the prosthetic valve. In a deployed state, the capsule is withdrawn from the prosthetic valve. The shaft slides relative to the stability tube in transitioning from the loaded state to the deployed state. When used with an introducer device, the stability tube frictionally isolates the sheath.

A heart valve prosthesis that includes an expandable anchoring frame having an interior area extending between a proximal portion of the expandable anchoring frame and a distal portion of the expandable anchoring frame. An expandable stent frame includes an interior area. A prosthetic valve structure is mounted within the interior area of the expandable stent frame. The expandable stent frame is configured to be inserted into the interior area of the expandable anchoring frame and, when the expandable stent frame is in an expanded configuration, the expandable stent frame is biased radially outward toward an inner surface of the expandable anchoring frame and is dimensioned to capture the at least one native leaflet between an outer surface of the expandable stent frame and the inner surface of the expandable anchoring frame.

This disclosure is directed to systems and techniques for detecting change in patient health based on a modular machine learning architecture ensembling different cardiac events. In one example, a medical system is configured to: detect a cardiac event type for the patient based on a classification of the patient physiological data in accordance with a modular machine learning architecture, wherein the modular machine learning architecture comprises, for each of a plurality of cardiac event types, an ensemble that comprises a current component model for classifying the cardiac EGM data as evidence of that respective one of the plurality of cardiac event types; and generate for display output data indicative of a positive detection of the cardiac event type.

Systems, devices, and techniques are disclosed for providing personalized insulin dosage recommendations for a patient. In some aspects, a method includes generating a physiological model for estimating glucose values of the patient based on historical data, the historical data comprising glucose value history and insulin dosage history for a time window during which the patient consumed a plurality of meals. The method also may include estimating, using the physiological model and the historical data, an impact of the plurality of meals on the glucose values of the patient, and receiving a first meal size indication of a first meal for consumption by the patient. The method may also include outputting a first meal bolus insulin dose recommendation based on the impact of the plurality of meals on the glucose values of the patient and the first meal size indication.

An implantable medical device, comprising: a device housing comprising a first enclosure and a second enclosure coupled to the first enclosure; a circuit board fixed within the first enclosure of the device housing and having a first terminal; a battery that has a battery housing positioned within the second disclosure of the device housing, and having a battery terminal, a battery connector (208) positioned within the second enclosure of the device housing and comprising a battery connector body (220) that is affixed directly to the device housing; and at least one electrical conductor affixed directly to the battery connector body (220), the at least one electrical conductor electrically couples the battery terminal to the first power terminal and has a pin portion that forms a conductive pin (226, 228) that extends beyond the battery connector body and electrically couples to the first power terminal, and a plate portion forming a conductive plate (222, 224) electrically coupled to the battery terminal.
