Abstract

The arrangement has a lateral face (2) formed with an opening (4) for accessing an access platform (1), and a gap-filling device (12) movable between a retracted position and a deployed position. A protection device (18) includes a protection element (20) e.g. shutter, movable with respect to the access platform. The protection element prohibits the access to the gap-filling device when the gap-filling device is in the retracted position or the deployed position. The protection element authorizes the access to the gap-filling device when the gap-filling device is in the deployed position. An independent claim is also included for a method for activating an access arrangement.
