Abstract

The system (1) has a respiratory assistance device (2) with a tubular body (4) that forms a main channel, where a distal end (7) of the body is connected to a respiratory route of a patient such that the channel is externally connected to a respiratory system of the patient. An obstacle forming unit (16) is opposite to an arrangement of a connection element of a medical device e.g. artificial respirator, external to a tubular connecting piece (9) when the tubular connecting piece is connected to a respiratory gas source e.g. oxygen bottle, by a respiratory gas supply pipe (3).
