Abstract

The transport control section controls, at the time of cutting of the long sheet (SL) by the cutting unit (16), the motor (37) for pinching such that a downstream-side portion in the transport direction, which is cut off from the sheet, remains pinched by the first roller (35a) and the second roller (35b) at the point of time of completion of cutting (the eighth timing), and controls, after the completion of cutting, the motor for discharge such that the downstream-side portion is discharged to the downstream side in the transport direction by rotation of the respective rollers which pinch the downstream-side portion.
