Abstract

An agricultural piston press (1) with a press chamber (2) in which a pressing piston (3) is oscillatingly movable and a feeding channel (7) in which a gatherer (13) is movable in order to pre-compress and transport harvested crop into the press chamber (2), wherein in a drive train of the gatherer (13) an overload clutch is provided in order to interrupt the power transmission in the drive train upon overload, is characterized by a further clutch device (54-66) in the drive train of the gatherer (13), which stops a movement of the gatherer (13) when the overload clutch is at least partially opened.
