Abstract

A pipe coupling comprising; a first tubular element (1) and a second tubular element (2) connected to the first tubular element (1) and forming an elongated tube therewith, wherein the first tubular element (1) is connected to the second tubular element (2) by a connection arrangement that permits a biasing of the first tubular element (1) in relation to the second tubular element (2) within a predetermined angular range, and said coupling further comprising; an annular sealing element (3) which is provided between and overlaps opposing end portions (12, 13) of the first and the second tubular element (2), wherein the annular sealing element (3) has a generally T-shaped cross-section; said sealing element (3) comprising a first portion (14) that forms a stem of said T-shaped cross section and extends in a radial direction of the sealing element (3) and defines the outer periphery thereof, and; a second portion formed by two opposing flanges (15, 16) that form the cross-bar of the T-shaped cross section and define the inner periphery of the annular sealing element (3); wherein a first (15) of said flanges (15, 16) overlaps and is in sealing contact with an inner circumferential surface (17) of the first tubular element (1), and the second flange (16) overlaps and is in sealing contact with an inner circumferential surface of the second tubular element (2). At least one of said fist and second flanges (15, 16) presents a rounded bulge (23, 24) that forms an outer peripheral surface of said flange (15, 16), and that this bulge (23, 24) in sealing contact with an in inner periphery (17, 18) of one of said tubular elements (1, 2) and extends continuously around the circumference of the annular sealing element (3).
