Abstract

The bogie (1) has an eddy current braking device extending under a frame (2) and moving in translation with respect to the frame between retracted and braking positions. The braking device includes an abutment element (20) moving with the braking device between the positions. A component defining an abutment surface (22) is mounted on an axle (4). The surface is fixed with respect to the axle at height and placed between wheels (8) mounted on extreme transverse parts of the axle. The element is supported against the surface when the device is in braking position.
