Abstract

The apparatus e.g. bipolar modular differential circuit breaker (A), has phase and neutral disconnecting modules (1, 2) and a differential protection module (B) mounted on a rail. A core (6) is positioned within the protection module such that a center part of a coil is located between an axial plane of the core parallel to an initial direction of movement of electric arc and passing via a separation point of main contacts of one of the disconnecting modules, and another axial plane of the core located at 45 degrees with respect to the former plane from a side of a disconnecting chamber.
