Abstract

The invention relates to a method for mounting a flashing for a roof window, where a connector element (1) is mounted at each corner of the window frame and used for retaining the flashing member (2), the upper side of the connector element (1) preferably comprising a gutter (11), which is upwards open. An engagement section at one or both end edges of the flashing member (2) is placed in engagement with at least one connector element (1), preferably so that a bent section (28) constituting the engagement section projects into the gutter (11) of a connector element (1), and the flashing member is secured to the connector element (1). The connector element (1), which may also serve drainage purposes, may be attached to a mounting bracket used for securing the window to the roof and a covering member (5) may be arranged to cover substantially the entire upwards opening of the gutter.
