Abstract
The method involves selecting service labels (2) corresponding to service elements of a sequence for each of domains at a service management level (SP). The labels of one domain are mapped (3) with the labels of the adjacent domain based on primary data of the labels to obtain a service label list. One of the labels is selected (4) from the list. A resource identifier is selected (5) for each domain at a network management level (MP). Availability of inter-domain edge network resources defined in the identifier is verified (6) at network level (NP). The resources are reserved (7) if available. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for selecting inter-domain edge network resources of a communication network (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for implementing an inter-domain edge network resource selecting method.
