Abstract
The method involves detecting (A) a set of intrinsic dynamic parameters (PDi) of a vehicle on a determined period (T), and coding (B) a subset of detected dynamic intrinsic variables e.g. average vehicle speed (Vm), in fuzzy logic according to fuzzy value representative of field of circulation and of detected vehicle traffic. The fuzzy value is decoded into real value, and switching of a front lighting system of the vehicle on a class of passing beam adapted to the field of traffic and traffic sensed vehicle is controlled (C) from the real value. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling the switching of an adaptive front lighting system of motor vehicle between different classes of passing beam.
