Abstract

A power supply circuit comprises first and second DC-DC converters. The first DC-DC converter includes a self-oscillation circuit that generates a first pulsating voltage from a first DC input voltage and a first smoothing circuit that smooths the first pulsating voltage to produce a first DC output voltage. The second DC-DC converter includes a switching element that is driven by the first pulsating voltage generated by the self-oscillation circuit and switches a second DC input voltage based on the first pulsating voltage to produce a second pulsating voltage, and a second smoothing circuit that smooths the second pulsating voltage to produce a second output voltage. The second DC-DC converter uses the first pulsating voltage to convert the second DC input voltage into the pulsating voltage.
