Abstract

A radiographic image capturing apparatus (10) includes a compression member (38), which is displaceable with respect to a holding member (30) that holds a target object (20) to be examined. The compression member (38) is displaced toward the holding member (30) for compressing the target object (20) held by the holding member (30) while the compression member (38, 220, 244) is tilted with respect to the holding member (30, 230) along lateral directions of the target object (20) as viewed in front elevation.
