Abstract

A housing assembly (180) is provided. The housing assembly includes a housing (200) that includes an access panel (202) and a cavity (201) defined therein, wherein the housing is sized to enclose at least one electrical system within the cavity. Moreover, the housing assembly includes a cover (206) that is configured to enclose a portion of the housing such that the access panel remains accessible and the cover is positioned against the portion of the housing. The housing assembly also includes at least one gasket that is coupled between the housing and the cover such that a seal is formed on the housing assembly that substantially prevents fluid from entering the housing assembly.
