Abstract

The invention relates to a method for presenting a multimedia object at a user device, the multimedia object having a predetermined format and being embedded into a document. Based upon a feature of the user device a detection function is executed, the detection function determining that the document includes the multimedia object of the predetermined format, and based upon the determination a multimedia player function is invoked in the user device, the multimedia player function being adapted to render the multimedia object. Furthermore, the invention is related to a computer program and a system for executing the method.
