Abstract

A rechargeable battery (101, 102) including an electrode assembly (10) including a first electrode (11) and a second electrode (12); a case (26) having a space in which the electrode assembly (10) is located; a cap plate (31) coupled with the case (26); a terminal (21, 22) coupled to the electrode assembly (10) through a current collecting tap (41, 42), and protruding through the cap plate (31) to an outside of the case (26); a first cover (60) in which a lower portion of the terminal (21, 22) is located; and a second cover (70) in which an upper portion of the current collecting tap (41, 42) is located, the second cover (70) being coupled with the first cover (60) to secure the terminal (21, 22) and the current collecting tap (41, 42).
