Abstract

The present invention relates to a control knob (10) for a cooking appliance. The control knob (10) is arranged or arrangeable at a control device (22) of the cooking appliance. The control knob (10) includes a curved cylindrical surface area (12) and a face side (18). A plurality of front sensor elements (14) is arranged on the curved cylindrical surface area (12) of the control knob (10). The front sensor elements (14) are tactile sensor elements or proximity sensor elements. The control knob (10) is movable along its symmetry axis (26) relative to the control device (22), and at least one display element (20) is arranged on the face side (18) of said control knob (10). Further, the present invention relates to a control device for a cooking appliance with at least one control knob. Moreover, the present invention relates to a cooking appliance including a control device with at least one control knob.
