Abstract

The invention relates to a method for predicting a physical characteristic of vacuum insulation panels of a certain type. The method comprises measuring (101) a plurality of physical quantities associated with the vacuum insulation panels at distinct time instants, measuring (103) values of the physical characteristic at the distinct time instants, fitting (105) a parametric regression model with the measured physical quantities as regression parameters to predict the measured values of the physical characteristic at the distinct time instants using the parametric regression model, and executing (107) the parametric regression model to predict the physical characteristic at a future time instant. <img class="EMIRef" id="144770461-iaf01" />
