Abstract

The method involves acquiring location information by an acquisition module (MACQ) of a terminal (TRM), where the module is external to a secure module (MSEC) i.e. subscriber identity module card. The information is stored in the secure module. The location information of the terminal is obtained from a memory (MEM) e.g. RAM(102), of the secure module by reading a temporary mobile subscriber identity (TMSI) or location area identification (LAI) field of a localization file. An application e.g. payment application (API), is selected from the location information. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a terminal (2) a computer program comprising instructions for executing a method for selecting an application partially executable by a secure module when the computer program is executed by a processor (3) a recording medium readable by a computer for recording a computer program comprising instructions for execution of steps of a method for selecting an application partially executable by a secure module (4) a secure module comprising a microcircuit.
