Abstract

A switch control apparatus, an arrangement, a method and a computer program for controlling operation of a lamp on basis of an input control signal are provided. The switch control apparatus comprises an input determination unit configured to determine the duration of the input control signal. The switch control apparatus further comprises an output determination unit configured to determine whether the duration of the input control signal exceeds a predetermined threshold, to determine, in response to the duration of the input control signal not exceeding the predetermined threshold, an output control signal having a first predetermined duration, to determine, in response to the duration of the input control signal exceeding the predetermined threshold, an output control signal having a duration that is no shorter than a second predetermined duration, which second predetermined duration is longer than the first predetermined duration, and to provide the output control signal for an apparatus configured to control operation of the lamp.
