Abstract
The system has a current injector (14) for injecting an alternating current signal of predetermined voltage at a frequency, and a determination unit (16) for determining whether the impedance calculated as a function of the intensity (I-f) of the current signal is below a threshold. A processing and calculation unit (24) provides another impedance value as a function of the intensity of a downstream current signal, and determines whether the latter impedance value is below the threshold. An indicator indicates whether the threshold is not attained and/or whether the threshold is exceeded. An independent claim is also included for a method of monitoring the presence of an insulation fault on a three-phase electrical network.
