Abstract

The present invention relates to a remote control device with an integrated display. The remote control device is hand-held and is preferably operable using the thumb of the hand holding the device, thereby providing ease of control to the user. The device may comprise a multi-way input device, such a joystick, preferably located near the centre of the integrated display, providing a convenient navigation and selection means to a menu displayed on the remote control device's display. The menu is dynamic allowing for context-driven control to be made over a controlled device using a bidirectional wireless communication channel between the remote control device and the controlled device.
