Abstract

The reel unit (2, 202, 302) includes a chassis (2a, 202a, 302a), a lid member (2b), a guard member (26, 226, 326), a tubular part (25, 225, 325), and a screw member (27, 227, 327). The chassis (2a, 202a, 302a) includes a mechanism attachment space (2d) at a lateral side thereof, a first opening (30, 230, 330) extending through a front edge of the chassis (2a, 202a, 302a), and a second opening (31, 231, 331) extending through a rear edge of the chassis (2a, 202a, 302a). The guard member (26, 226, 326) includes a boss (26a, 226a, 326a) being inserted into the second opening (31, 231, 331) from the rear edge of the chassis (2a, 202a, 302a). The guard member (26, 226, 326) is attached to the chassis (2a, 202a, 302a) and the lid member (2b) from behind to cover the chassis (2a, 202a, 302a) and the lid member (2b). The tubular part (25, 225, 325) is disposed between the first opening (30, 230, 330) and the second opening (31, 231, 331) within the mechanism attachment space (2d) and arranged to be liquid-tight. The screw member (27, 227, 327) passes through the first opening (30, 230, 330) and being screwed into the boss (26a, 226a, 326a). The screw member (27, 227, 327) includes a head (27a, 227a, 327a) being held inside the tubular part (25, 225, 325).
