Abstract

A window, such as a pivot- or bottom-hung roof window, with a window frame (2) and a sash (1) pivotally hung to the window frame (2). A bolt (38) slidably and rotatably received in a cylinder (30) fixed in a through-going bore in a sash member. A keep (10) secured to a first side of a frame member. The keep (10) is provided with a front slot (11), a recess (4) behind the slot (11) and a rear wall (39) behind the recess. An anchoring member (15) connects the keep (10) to a second side of the frame member that is opposite to the first side of the frame member. The bolt (38) is movable inside the cylinder between a retracted position and an extended locking position wherein the engagement head (40) projects through the slot (11) when the sash (1) is in the closed position.
