Abstract

The insulator (20) has a body comprising a frame, which is made of rigid material and includes two side openings. An element made of thinner and flexible material exhibits better thermal conductivity than material of the body. The flexible material element comprises two lateral walls positioned in relation to the side openings of the frame. The body comprises slits for insertion of the flexible material element. The body comprises a front edge (261) and a back edge (262) defining a mounting groove for a winding a coil. An independent claim is also included for a stator or a rotor of an electric machine.
