Abstract
Method for multicast transmission between a server (4) and at least one of a plurality of clients (6,8) using a unicast protocol, said method comprising a step of providing by the server (4) to the client (6,8) information permitting to said client (6,8) to communicate with the server (4) over a multicast path (16), in order to enable a joint operation of multicast (16) and unicast (10,12) paths between the server (4) and the client (6,8).
