Abstract

An inspection apparatus for a sheet includes: white LED illuminators (41a, 41b) which irradiate a sheet of paper (W) with light containing visible light: IR-LED illuminators (43a, 43b) which irradiate the sheet of paper (W) with light containing infrared rays: two visible color cameras (42A, 42B); one IR monochrome camera (44): an IR filter (45) which eliminates the visible light in the light emitted from the white LED illuminators (41a, 41b) and the IR-LED illuminators (43a, 43b) and reflected off the sheet of paper (W), and makes only the infrared rays incident on the IR monochrome camera (44); and a control device (46) which determines appropriateness of a pattern portion (VE) on the sheet of paper (W) on the basis of the visible light made incident on the visible color cameras (42A, 42B), and determines appropriateness of pattern portions (IEa, IEb) on the sheet of paper (W) on the basis of the infrared rays made incident on the IR monochrome camera (44).
