Abstract

An agricultural work vehicle (10) includes a vehicle body (12) having longitudinally extending sides (13). An enclosed engine compartment (32) is configured within the vehicle body (12). An air inlet (34) is defined in side of the vehicle body (12) for intake of air into the engine compartment (32). A grain bin (20) forward of the engine compartment (32) includes a grain bin extension (24) mounted above the grain bin (20). An intake housing (40) is mounted over the air inlet (34) in the vehicle body side (13) and includes a forwardly extending portion (44) mounted alongside the grain bin extension (24) with an inlet opening (50) oriented so as to draw air primarily from an area forward of the engine compartment (32) and above the vehicle body (12).
