Abstract

The invention relates to a process for preparing a semisolid preparation which contains bispyridiniumalkane, in which process a) the bispyridiniumalkane is dissolved in solvent so as to prepare a solution of the bispyridiniumalkane, and b) the solution of the bispyridiniumalkane is mixed with one or more further customary constituents of a semisolid preparation. It is preferred to employ octenidin dihydrochloride as the bispyridiniumalkane. Furthermore, the invention relates to semisolid preparations, prepared by the process, in the form of a concentrate, in the form of a use preparation or as a kit. In particular, the semisolid preparation is applied to the nasal mucosa for controlling MRP and its activity is comparable to that of mupirocin-based preparations.
