Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a trim structure (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, 14, 200) for a vehicle (2), wherein the trim structure has at least two surface regions (218, 218'; 222) having different surface appearances and is manufactured in one unit. The disclosure further relates to a method for providing a trim structure (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, 14, 200) for a vehicle (2) with at least two surface regions (218, 218'; 222) having different surface appearances, the method comprising the steps of a) providing a first surface appearance on at least a portion of an external surface of a trim structure body (209), b) providing a second surface appearance by applying a material layer (214) on top of at least a part of the portion having the first surface appearance, c) removing a portion the applied material layer, thereby revealing at least a portion of the under-lying first surface appearance.
