Abstract
In order to overcome the limitations and problems that are present in earlier processes, a method for, at least partially, removing contaminants from a process gas stream (30; 44; 59) is proposed, the method comprising the steps: [a] separating the process gas stream (30; 44; 59) into two or more process gas streams; [b] adding or admixing ozone (32; 46; 61) to at least one of the two or more process gas streams; [c] feeding the at least one of the two or more process gas streams to a capture device (38; 58; 65), in particular to a scrubbing apparatus.
