Abstract

According to an aspect of an embodiment, a sheet processing apparatus includes: a conveying unit (240) configured to convey sheets (P); a stacking unit (241) configured to stack the conveyed sheets (P) to form a sheet stack (PB); and a binding unit (210) configured to include a pair of toothed jaw (261A, 261B) and bind the sheet stack (PB) by pressing the sheet stack (PB) between the pair of toothed jaw (261A, 261B), wherein at least one portion of edges of the toothed jaw (261A, 261B) is rounded.
