Abstract

An automatic winder (1) includes a bobbin holding section (54, 110), a stepping motor (100), a drive control section (71), a magnet sensor (72), and a number-of-pulse counting section (74). The bobbin holding section (54, 110) holds a yarn supplying bobbin (21). The drive control section (71) drives the stepping motor (100) by an amount corresponding to a specified command value (number of pulses) to move the bobbin holding section (54, 110). The magnet sensor (72) specifies an origin position, which is the reference position of the bobbin holding section (54, 110). The number-of-pulse counting section (74) obtains the command value (number of pulses) necessary for moving the bobbin holding section (54, 110) from the origin position to a target position as an actual measurement command value.
