Abstract

The method involves connecting a cover (20) to a compartment of an aircraft (1) by an extensible connection element (25) in order to enable the cover to be retained and to be moved transversely while a float (15) is inflating. The cover is fastened to connection element by a reversible fastener element. The cover is connected to the compartment by the connection element. The float is fastened to an internal wall defining the compartment. An independent claim is included for a buoyancy system for aircraft.
