Abstract

An electronic control unit (9) of a four wheel drive vehicle (100)controls a transmission torque of a driving force transmission apparatus (160, 7, 8) provided between a rear differential (150) and a left rear wheel (105L). The electronic control unit (9) includes a first computation unit (921) that computes a command torque to be transmitted to the left rear wheel (105L) by the driving force transmission apparatus (160, 7, 8), based on a traveling state of the four wheel drive vehicle; and a second computation unit (922) that corrects the command torque computed by the first computation unit (921), if a difference between rotation speeds of a pair of side gears (53L, 53R) of the rear differential (150) is larger than or equal to a predetermined value.
