Abstract

The present invention discloses a comb plate-comb plate carrier assembly (2)for an escalator and the like. The assembly is disposed on an upper head and a lower head of the escalator and mounted to the truss of the escalator, comprises a comb plate (3) and a pair of comb plate carriers for carrying the comb plate, wherein said assembly is provided with at least one of the following items: a guide rail bracket which is fastened to the comb plate carrier and is used to fix a guide rail for the handrail belt (419); a supporting bracket which is fastened to the comb plate carrier and is used to support an end of a handrail return-sheave curve (400) fastened to the truss; comb plate height adjusting means; a monitoring device (100) for monitoring the horizontal displacement and upward displacement of the comb plate. In addition, the present invention further discloses a combination structure comprising a lifting tool (80) and the assembly in an assembled condition, the lifting tool comprises a traverse rod and a longitudinal suspending member, the ends of the traverse rod are respectively fixedly connected to the comb plate carriers, while engaging means of the longitudinal suspending member engages with the comb plate.
