Abstract

A main nozzle (1) for an air jet loom includes a yarn inlet pipe (3) into which a weft yarn (Y) is introduced, a passage forming pipe (4) cooperating with a downstream end of the yarn inlet pipe (3) to form therebetween an air passage (33), a yarn accelerator pipe (5) disposed downstream of the passage forming pipe (4), and a nozzle body (2) to which the yarn inlet pipe (3), the passage forming pipe (4) and the yarn accelerator pipe (5) are mounted. A brush (22) as a weft yarn catcher is disposed between the yarn inlet pipe (3) and the yarn accelerator pipe (5).
