Abstract
A high density polyethylene blend, comprising (A) 70 to 98 wt% of a high density multimodal polyethylene component having a density of at least 940 kg/m<3>, and an MFR<5>of less than 1.0 g/10min; (B) 2 to 20 wt% of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 7 dl/g and an MFR<21>of less than 0.5 g/10min (UHMW polyethylene copolymer); and wherein said blend has an MFR<21>of 0.5 to 10.0 g/10min and a density of at least 940 kg/m<3>.
