Abstract

An anti-recirculation device (ARC) for preventing outgoing forced airflow (AF) to recirculate in an electronic cabinet (EC) during removing operation of a fan tray module (FM) provided at an air outlet (AO) of the cabinet. The fan tray module can be removed from the cabinet by sliding along fan guide rails (FG). The anti-recirculation device comprises a roller blind (BL) rolled-up into a roller blind storage chamber (RC) by a spring-loaded axis mechanism (SM) and coupled to a rear edge (RE) of the fan tray module. The roller blind is pulled when the fan tray module is removed whereby the slot left empty by the removed fan tray module is covered by the open roller blind and recirculation of air into the electronic cabinet is prevented. When the fan tray module (FM) is inserted in the cabinet, the spring-loaded axis mechanism helps to pull back and roll-up the roller blind (BL), coupled to the fan tray module, into a roller blind storage chamber (RC).
