Abstract
The invention relates to a method for charging an energy storage device (202) in a vehicle using a power supply (106), the method comprising: determining (S301, S401) a first voltage output from the power supply; starting charging (S303, S403); determining (S305, S405) a second voltage output from the power supply; determining (S307, S407) a first voltage difference based on a difference between the second voltage and the first voltage; after a predetermined time, aborting charging (S309, S409); determining (S311, S411) a third voltage output from the power supply; starting charging (S313, S413); determining (S315, S415) a fourth voltage output from the power supply; determining (S317, S417) a second voltage difference based on a difference between the fourth voltage and the third voltage; determining (S319) a deviation value based on a difference between the second difference and the first difference; and based on the deviation value, controlling (S321) a charging parameter.
