Abstract

A gas concentration measurement apparatus (1), such as a breath alcohol analyser, includes: a measuring part (183) configured to measure a concentration of a gas on the basis of an output signal from a gas sensor (17); a member (20), such as a lid, arranged so that the gas sensor (17) is isolated from the outside air when the member (20) is arranged at an closing position and that the gas sensor (17) is exposed to the outside air when the member (20) is arranged at an opening position.;a timing part (182) configured to measure an elapsed time from a time at which the concentration of the gas is measured by the measuring part (183); and a notification part (184) configured to, in a case where the member (20) is arranged in the closing position ad the gas sensor (17) is isolated from outside air while the measured elapsed time is less than a predetermined ventilation time, issue a notification. Arranging the lid member (20) in the closing position allows to reduce poisoning of the gas sensor. When the gas sensor needs to be ventilated, the notification, such as given by a visual warning, prompts the user for keeping the lid member (20) in the opening position.
