Abstract

A content management system for content items stored in a store on a computing device enables user interaction with the content items independently of the structure of the store. The content management system is arranged to receive a first instruction from a user to associate at least one first identifier with at least one folder record and to associate the first identifier with the folder record accordingly. The content management system is arranged to receive a second instruction from a user to associate at least one second identifier with at least one content item and to associate the second identifier with the content item accordingly. The content management system is further arranged to create a user interface comprising a folder corresponding to the folder record and to assign the content item to the folder in the user interface in dependence on a comparison between the first identifier and the second identifier.
