Abstract
A method of carving a contour surface on a composite core (1101, 1201) can include positioning a first edge of the composite core (1101, 1201) against a first tooled member (1303); locating a first magnet (1307) within an outer cell member along the first edge of the composite core (1101, 1201) so that the first edge of the composite core (1101, 1201) is magnetically drawn to the first tooled member (1303); locating a second magnet (1307) along a second edge of the composite core (1101, 1201) such that the second edge of the composite core (1101, 1201) is magnetically drawn to a second tooled member (1305); and carving a first contour (1203, 1205) of the composite core (1101, 1201).
