Abstract

A holding member (61, 81, 91) is configured to be inserted into a cutting apparatus (1) including an image scanning device (6), while holding a sheet-shaped object (W), so that the object (W) is scanned by the image scanning device (6) and cut by the cutting apparatus (1). The holding member (61, 81, 91) includes a base (62, 82) having an adhesive part (63, 83) on which the object (W) is removably placed, a transparent sheet (64) holding the object (W) between the base (62, 82) and itself (64), the transparent sheet (64) having a proximal end fixed to a first side of the base (62, 82) and being movable between a closed position where the transparent sheet (64) is laid over the adhesive part (63, 83) and an open position where the adhesive part (63, 83) is exposed, a first sign (67) located on the base (62, 82) to indicate a type of the holding member (61, 81, 91), and a second sign (68) located on the transparent sheet (64) to indicate that the transparent sheet (64) is located at the closed position.
