Abstract
[Subject Matter] To provide a method for manufacturing a motorcycle tire capable of keeping belt cords from meandering so as to enhance uniformity. [Solution(s)] After a cylindrical belt ply 17 is formed on the apex of a raw tire body 12, while the distance between bead cores (5, 5) is reduced to a second distance (W2), the apex of the raw tire body 12 along with the cylindrical belt ply 17 is expanded to a second expanded phase (J2) by filling the raw tire body 12 at a second inflation pressure. Moreover, the apex of the raw tire body 12 along with the cylindrical belt ply 17 is expanded to a third expanded phase (J3) by increasing the diameter of a profile deck 15 from a standby position (P3) on the radially inner side toward a radially outer expanded position (P4) of the raw tire body 12, while the distance between bead cores (5, 5) is reduced to a third distance (W3).
