Abstract
The invention relates to a seat belt retractor with a rotatable belt spool, a reversible belt drive adapted for rotating the belt spool in a winding direction and in an unwinding direction, and a belt tensioner adapted for rotating the belt spool in a winding direction, with a releasable drive connection (22) being provided between the belt drive and the belt spool.
