Abstract

A spinning machine includes a drafting device (7), an air-jet spinning device (9), and a yarn pooling roller (41). The drafting device (7) includes plural draft rollers, including a front roller (20), and drafts a fiber bundle (8). The air-jet spinning device (9) performs spinning to form a yarn (10) by twisting the fiber bundle (8) drafted by the drafting device (7). The yarn pooling roller (41) pools the yarn (10) formed by the air-jet spinning device (9) by winding the yarn (10) around a surface thereof. A peripheral speed of the front roller (20) during yarn discharge spinning and during regular spinning performed after yarn discharge spinning is different. A peripheral speed of the yarn pooling roller (41) during the yarn discharge spinning and during the regular spinning is different.
