Abstract
A gas turbine engine (10) includes an axial high pressure compressor includes a rear hub (104) disposed aft of an aft rotor segment (102). The rear hub (104) includes an inner surface (108), an outer surface (106), and a sealing face (120), wherein the sealing face (120) is sealingly engaged with the aft rotor segment (102), and in fluid communication with the cooling channel (114). The cooling channels (114) are configured to delivery air to contact the inner surface (108) of the rear hub (104).
