Abstract

A sheet storage cassette (10) includes a cassette base (25) and a cover member (50). The cover member (50) is supported swingably at both ends of a side surface portion of the cassette base (25) on a first rotation fulcrum (60), which is composed of a first engagement hole (53a) and a first boss portion (43b), and on a second rotation fulcrum (61) which is composed of a second engagement hole (53b) and a second boss portion (43b). A distance from a tip end portion of the second boss portion (43b) to an engagement position of the second engagement hole (53b) is smaller than a distance from a tip end portion of the first boss portion (43a) to an engagement position of the first engagement hole (53a), and a swing limiting portion (41aa), which limits an open angle of the cover member (50) at the opening position, is disposed on only a portion of the cassette base (25) near the first rotation fulcrum (60).
