Abstract

A power conversion apparatus includes a first electrical machine (140) and a second electrical machine (160). The first electrical machine includes a first rotor portion (142) and a first stator portion (144) electromagnetically coupled to the first rotor portion (142). The second electrical machine (160) includes a second rotor portion (162) and a second stator portion (164) electromagnetically coupled to the second rotor portion (162). The first rotor portion (142) is connected to the second rotor portion (162) at shared axial position for common rotation therewith about a rotational axis of the power conversion apparatus.
